The white stuff (or brown stuff in the form of syrups) may seem harmless due to spiffy marketing using terms like; raw, organic, unrefined, vegan, etc., but the truth is they are all the same to your body and detrimental to your health no matter how healthy they may sound.
Enjoying “a treat” with real sugar should be eaten occasionally but when added sugar becomes a regular part of your diet, it is time to consider healthier options.
