Event: Hormones Part 2: It's Dry Down There! Webinar

We would like to introduce Dr. Suzi Siegel who will be leading Part 2 of our three-part Women’s Health Webinar Series.  Dr. Siegel is a board-certified emergency medicine physician.  After almost thirty years working in busy emergency departments, she is excited to open a consultation practice dedicated to menopause and midlife women’s health care this summer:  MenopauseMattersMD.com

Dr. Siegel’s topic is: “It’s Dry Down There!  How Lack of Estrogen Affects Sexual Intimacy & Bladder Health”.  Vaginal dryness due to menopause is referred to as genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). GSM is a comprehensive term to describe the vaginal, vulvar, and bladder changes that occur with loss of hormones. GSM is linked to recurrent urinary tract infections, painful intercourse, low libido, poor quality of life, depression, and other problems.  Dr. Siegel will share a general overview of GSM, discuss treatment options, and allow plenty of time for Q & A for those burning questions (pun intended).
