Sheryl has been in Private Practice for the past 25 years. She is a recognized professional on the North Shore and works with multiple medical practices. Her special interests are Diabetes, Weight Management/Eating Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders and Sports Nutrition for patients of all ages.
Sheryl understands that nutrition is not a one-size-fits-all situation. She has acquired a specialized approach to changing peoples’ eating habits. Sheryl designs for each patient a personalized plan towards healthy eating. She does this through a balance of nutrition education, behavior modification and emotional support. Sheryl believes that making eating fun, flexible and more satisfying lead to a happier, healthy life…And the best diet is the one that’s personal and you can stick to!
Born and raised in the Northern Suburbs, Sheryl holds a master’s degree in Nutrition & Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Arizona. She is Registered Nationally through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed to practice in the State of Illinois. She has been asked to present at numerous conferences and seminars and has Co-Authored five nutritional publications.
Not only does Sheryl take a proactive approach to helping her patients, she also brings her expertise home by caring for her husband, two dogs and over the years her four children. In her spare time you will find Sheryl on the golf course. Overall, Sheryl is the ultimate example of how a very busy lifestyle can still be mentally and physically sound.
