Rachel J. Klein Wright, M.D.
Dr. Rachel Wright is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics who believes that the best healthcare begins with understanding the whole person. Curious and thoughtful, she is known as the ‘question-master’ for her diligence in seeking answers and getting to know her patients. She takes the time to understand not only medical symptoms but also family dynamics, work stressors, sleep habits, relationships, nutrition, exercise, and other factors that influence health.
Patients can expect comprehensive visits, collaborative decision-making, and a physician who values face-to-face conversation and genuine connection. Dr. Wright is passionate about partnering with each patient so they can live their best life.
Prevention is central to Dr. Wright's approach. She emphasizes proactive screening, early intervention, and evidence-based care to help patients maintain long-term health and wellness. She brings extensive experience in women's health, providing comprehensive care for concerns including hormonal changes, menopause, and reproductive health. With additional training in mental health, she is comfortable diagnosing and treating anxiety, depression and ADHD, referring to mental health specialists when appropriate. Additionally, her pediatric training and expertise in adolescent health make her especially comfortable addressing parenting challenges and the needs of adolescent and young adult patients.
In traditional settings, Dr. Wright was frustrated by the administrative constraints and insurance barriers that limited the time she was able to spend with patients. Her transition to concierge medicine is driven by a desire to return to truly patient-centered care. She is excited to have all the time she needs to get to know her patients, and to focus on the whole person and not just address one single problem
Dr. Wright is thrilled to be returning to the Midwest, where she can be closer to family and lifelong friends. She and her husband, Rabbi Adam Wright, love spending time and planning adventures with their three young children. Outside of medicine, she maintains a healthy lifestyle by exercising daily with Pilates and taking the time to disappear in a really good book.
Dr. Wright earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan before completing her four-year Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at UCLA. She has practiced in both private practice and academic medicine, including positions with Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group in San Diego and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She holds privileges at both Highland Park and Northwestern Lake Forest Hospitals, and is able to coordinate care for patients who are hospitalized.
